Experiences with object group systems
نویسندگان
چکیده
The GARF, Bast, and OGS systems represent the resulting efforts of a multi-year ‘object group’ program at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne. The intent of the program was to understand the extent to which one could build flexible and performance system supports to encapsulate object plurality. That is, we experimented with various ways to build libraries and services to support object groups in a distributed setting. This paper summarizes the main steps of the efforts and draws some conclusions about the successes and failures of our approaches. Copyright 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Background & Aims: The aim of present study was to compare the effect of group therapy based on family systems theory and short-term object relations couple therapy on the women’s marital intimacy. Material & Method: The research design in this study was pre-test, post-test experimental method with control group. The statistical population was included female clients of 25-55 years old with mar...
متن کاملObjects Identification in Object-Oriented Software Development - A Taxonomy and Survey on Techniques
Analysis and design of object oriented is onemodern paradigms for developing a system. In this paradigm, there are several objects and each object plays some specific roles. Identifying objects (and classes) is one of the most important steps in the object-oriented paradigm. This paper makes a literature review over techniques to identify objects and then presents six taxonomies for them. The f...
متن کاملA NEURO-FUZZY GRAPHIC OBJECT CLASSIFIER WITH MODIFIED DISTANCE MEASURE ESTIMATOR
The paper analyses issues leading to errors in graphic object classifiers. Thedistance measures suggested in literature and used as a basis in traditional, fuzzy, andNeuro-Fuzzy classifiers are found to be not suitable for classification of non-stylized orfuzzy objects in which the features of classes are much more difficult to recognize becauseof significant uncertainties in their location and...
متن کامل1 Workshop Report on Experiences Using Object Data Management in the Real - World ( Expanded
The OOPSLA ’97 Workshop on Experiences Using Object Data Management in the Real-World was held at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday 6 October 1997. This report summarises the presentations made by workshop participants. There were some very strong messages and presentations at the workshop, including: vendor marketing can cause serious problems for users, querying in object...
متن کاملCommunicating object group and protocols for distributed systems
Distributed communicating object groups, relevant algorithms and object communication protocols are presented. The distributed communicating object group system (called DCO) is built on the basis of hierarchy group communication protocols for networks. The system can be used as a speci®cation and design environment for distributed fault-tolerant object-oriented (OO) applications. By combining d...
متن کاملModeling and Evaluation of Stochastic Discrete-Event Systems with RayLang Formalism
In recent years, formal methods have been used as an important tool for performance evaluation and verification of a wide range of systems. In the view points of engineers and practitioners, however, there are still some major difficulties in using formal methods. In this paper, we introduce a new formal modeling language to fill the gaps between object-oriented programming languages (OOPLs) us...
